The name is KeyFortress and it’s a new authentication application, with support for end to end encryption, and built in protocol for passwordess authentication, it might be a bit early for the adoption on the market, but being first is never a bad thing.

Currently only IOS and Android have an MVP, but probably the end of the month there will be MVPs for the 3 desktops as well.

The tech stack that i currently use for those that are interested is:

Flutter/Dart - for both the Desktop and Mobile applications HTMX,Express, Blazor for all web based consumers (Couple of example web pages so we can demonstrate how the login works) A .Net core API that all of the Web pages use to authenticate against

Imagine you’re blowing the whistle on government abuse. How do you get in touch with a news organization? How do you stay safe and anonymous?
Imagine you’re a journalist receiving a stash of documents. How do you protect yourself against malware? How do you protect your source while examining these documents?

You’ll work on interaction design, visual design, prototyping, user research - all in close collaboration with the development team. While SecureDrop will be your focus, you will also partner with our web development team on improving our websites, including freedom.press and our second flagship project, the US Press Freedom Tracker.

You have…

3+ years of experience in a designer role as part of a team, or comparable experience, including: helping to take a product feature from concept to delivery and use; breaking down design solutions into prioritized, shippable increments; building and sharing design prototypes at different levels of fidelity and interactivity
Comfort working as part of a fully distributed team
At least 4 hours time zone overlap with US Pacific Time or US Eastern Time working hours for real-time collaboration

Passbolt is looking for a web designer. If you are passionate about privacy, security, open source software and can craft elegant user interfaces we want to hear from you! The successful candidate will have a portfolio demonstrating their skills.

Here is some example of current and upcoming work.

New functionalities as mentioned in the product roadmap.
Improvements to the existing functionalities (e.g. a simplified setup)
A mobile client for passbolt.
An incremental refresh of our style guide.

Main responsibilities

Document user needs using personas and user stories.
Create wireframes and user flows to help define new features and change requests
Facilitate design discussions with the community and the developers to help drive decisions.
Iteratively extend passbolt styleguide.

Required qualifications

A strong portfolio of web design work samples, including mobile and responsive sites.
3+ years of professional design experience.
Fluent in English, both verbal and written and preferably one other language.
Experience of working on an international product with a culturally diverse user community.

Nice to have skills

Illustration or animation skills.
Experience with usability testing (expert review, direct observation, focus group, etc.).
Experience with front-end development (HTML/CSS).
Experience working on security related products or at-risks populations.
Experience as contributor of an open source project.

UX/UI design help needed for a new file sharing project

Arbore is a social file-sharing application. The goal is to provide a way for people to share pictures/documents/whatever with their friends/colleagues/contacts privately and safely. The second goal is to reduce the dependency of people to the silo of data that are Facebook, Google, Dropbox ... that trap them. In short, to provide a viable alternative solution and to help people protect their private life. Alternative solution already exists but require technical knowledge and time to setup and maintain. In part because of that, they are not very successful. Arbore is my attempt to change that. I think that such a tool should be as easy to setup and use as VLC. This project is already well underway and close to a working MVP. That said, I need help from people more knowledgeable than me in UX and UI design to make it really slick and beautiful. I'm just a developer after all ! Even if the current state is not terrible, it could be much better. And on a project like this, it's the difference between success or not.

This will open doors for healthcare providers that previously couldn’t use the system because of such limitations.

If we could get one, the other programmers and I could start down the right path! This is a big project, but I’m confident that a UX/UI guru could really help lay the landscape.
